| Resumo: | [EN] The work is focused on the area occupied by the intersection in Plá del Real. A preliminary study of the capacity is developed by applying the 2010 High Capacity Manual, assessing in a critical way the results obtained. The intersection under study is a complex node from the traffic point of view, in which vehicles coming from different streets with different vehicular intensities converge. Due to the difficulty to make some movements by certain users, retentions are formed in Paseo de la Alameda during rush hours. On the other hand, the municipal transport company (EMT) requests a simpler solution for the circulation of buses at the intersection when they come from the Puente del Real, to Calle del General Elio. An analysis of the results found using the 2010 HCM methodology is performed to estimate if the procedure fits the study. Subsequently, actions are evaluated to solve the cause of conflict and improve the state of the intersection. The work consists of different parts, firstly, a traffic data collection through gauging, measurements of the elements that conform the intersection, data from the Traffic Directorate, etc. Later, the results obtained with the HCM are analyzed, their validity and a variety of possible solutions are considered. Different actions are valued and compared with each other in order to determine the one that best suits the current problem. Finally, the most adequate solution is defined in more depth to check the validity of it. The study also includes a valued estimate of the proposal, as well as a brief economic analysis of it. |
