Summary:[EN] This essay deals with the analysis of the semaphoric intersection of Avenida Pío XII, Avenida de Campanar, Calle de la Vall de la Ballestera and Calle Joaquín Ballester located in the city of Valencia. In order to carry out this, the document studies the capacity and and the level of service, since, it presents problems of congestion producing delays and discomforts to the users. Once these analyzes have been carried out, a series of alternatives are proposed to provide a feasible solution to the problem. In this light, the method of determination for the calculation of the capacity at traffic light intersections will be collected in this document and, on the other hand, the information obtained from the selected traffic light intersection will be captured. The methodology to be used throughout the study will be the one defined in the HCM 2010, Highway Capacity Manual 2010. Following the procedures explained in volume 3 "Interrupted Flow", chapter 18 of the HCM 2010, will proceed to evaluate the capacity and the quality of service provided to the users of the vehicles crossing the mentioned intersection. In addition to this, the methodology allows identifying the source of problems and provides a measure of strategies for their improvement. Once the calculations have been made using the HCM 2010 procedure, it is observed that the capacity obtained does not correspond to reality, so it is proposed to use a different analysis that studies the storage of the intersection. Thus, few alternatives are proposed to solve the problem and it is suggested proposals to solve the congestion produced.
