Descripción
Sumario:[EN] This research focuses on the impact of bilingual education on the acquisition of a second language in primary school. The main objective of this research is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of bilingual primary education, highlighting its potential for promoting cultural and linguistic diversity, as well as offering ideas on how bilingual education can be improved further for the benefit of both students and society at large. The methodology of the research on bilingual primary education is rigorous and systematic. In order to carry out this analysis, we will focus on two bilingual schools, of which the proficiency level of pupils in each school will be analyzed in the light of the results provided by pupils' performance in external standardized tests. The results obtained in this research are focused on each of the language skills through standardised tests to assess their language competence and their exposure to the language. In conclusion, we will take into account the data obtained in this research as well as the limitations we have encountered and the improvements for future research. In this way it will be possible to know the relevance of this research in the academic or professional field, being important for both students and teachers in the development of the teaching and learning process of a second language.
