Material and methods: The study was conducted in a sample consisting of 898 study models. To determine the type of occlusion, Angle classification criteria were taken into account. Results: The 47% patients presented class I malocclusion, the 31% II and the 22% class III. Of the patients included in the study the 61% corresponds to the female sex and a 39 male.La maloclusión, es la alteración del crecimiento y desarrollo normal de los dientes y sus bases óseas. Esta representa un problema de salud pública ya que afecta a un amplio sector de la población, constituyendo la 3ra. mayor prevalencia entre las enfermedades bucales según la Organización Mundial de la Salud. Material y Métodos: El estudio se realizó en una muestra constituida por 898 modelos de estudio. Para determinar el tipo de oclusión se tomaron en cuenta los criterios establecidos por la clasificación de Angle. Resultados: El 47% de los pacientes presentó maloclusión clase I, el 31% Clase II y el 22% clase III.
