In this article we will address all these aspects from the perspective of a classroom experience, detailing each of the phases involved in the implementation of a modeling activity.[ES] Uno de los principales problemas que surgen al trasladar una tarea de modelización matemática al aula de secundaria es la falta de una descripción detallada, desde la perspectiva de la didáctica, que ayude y oriente al profesor en servicio en la implementación de este tipo de actividad: los objetivos de aprendizaje que se persiguen; su encaje dentro del curriculo oficial; el tipo de tareas que permiten alcanzar estos objetivos; cómo realizar su evaluación o qué metodología utilizar.
