Resumo:[EN] The General Theory of Systems has been successfully applied to diverse disciplines, among them also to the design. This contribution focuses on the graphic design of the brand as a visual element and representative of the company of great importance in the current corporate management. Using the General Theory of Systems, a model is proposed for the graphic development of a brand that facilitates and guides the decision making in this area. To do this, the processes followed by the designer from the time he receives the order until its final application are analyzed, in order to take into account all the factors that influence the creation of the corporate visual identity and thus obtain an effective result
