This study is contextualised within an innovation and educational improvement UPV project in the topic of disciplinary innovation, in order to identify the causes of the increasing difficulty students have in assimilating theoretical concepts and in their ability to deeply understand their meaning. A detailed and critical analysis of the results of the evaluations is carried out, with an emphasis on those specific aspects that prevent students from making progress in the understanding of the basic concepts of the course. At the same time, the results of these assessments are complemented with the feedback obtained from a representative sample of students, which has made it possible to focus on the key aspects that should be improved in future academic years in order for undergraduate students to achieve the desired learning outcomes in the discipline of concrete structures design.[ES] Se presenta un estudio con el fin de identificar las principales dificultades de aprendizaje que los estudiantes de Grado en Ingeniería Civil de la  Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) están experimentando en la disciplina del diseño de estructuras de hormigón. Este estudio se contextualiza dentro de un Proyecto de Innovación y Mejora Educativa de la UPV en el ámbito de la Innovación Disciplinar, con el objetivo de identificar las causas de la creciente dificultad de los estudiantes en asimilar los conceptos teóricos y en su capacidad para entender profundamente su significado. En este trabajo se lleva a cabo un análisis detallado y crítico de los resultados de las evaluaciones haciendo un hincapié en aquellos aspectos concretos que impiden a los estudiantes avanzar en la comprensión de los conceptos básicos de la materia.
