The first is a theoretical part that explains the basic concepts in order to understand inequalities and its background as well as two brief studies conducted in Santa Maria de la Capilla School (Jaen). The first study consists of analyzing the gender roles and stereotypes present in CSE English textbooks and the second study is based on measuring the level of sexism present in classrooms through questionnaires. In the second part, there is included a practical part by means of a didactic unit which exemplifies what teaching in gender equality is and how to prevent using stereotypes. Keywords: gender equality, stereotype, education, gender roles, change, secondary school education[EN]El presente trabajo titulado “Educating in Gender Equality” pretende educar en igualdad de género y para ello se intentan eliminar los estereotipos de género aun presentes en nuestras sociedad y en concreto, en los libros de texto. Para conseguir este objetivo, el proyecto está estructurado en dos partes. La primera parte es una revisión bibliográfica que explica los conceptos básicos para entender las desigualdades y sus antecedentes así como dos breves estudios realizados en el colegio Santa María de la Capilla (Jaén).El primer estudio consiste en analizar los roles de género y estereotipos presentes en los libros de secundaria de inglés y el segundo estudio se basa en medir el nivel de sexismo presente en las aulas a través de cuestionarios. En la segunda parte, se propone una parte práctica a través de una unidad didáctica inclusiva en todos los aspectos de género. Dicha unidad didáctica se toma como medida preventiva para erradicar la desigualdad de género en la sociedad, producto de dichos estereotipos, a través de la educación.
