Description
Summary:The aim of this chapter is to place learner diversity at the core of a CLIL bilingual programme by posing an example of an alternative lesson planning strategy. To do so, we have first analysed the main underpinnings behind CLIL instruction. Then we have examined the current situation of bilin gual CLIL programmes in Spain and the ramifications this can have in terms of diversity and in struction planning. Finally, we have brought forward an example of how a one-size-fits-all lesson could be adapted into one based on a learning menu where learners choose the activities they wish to perform considering which ones best show what they have learned.
