Resumo:The objective of this study is to verify the potential of an intervention in growth mindset, the belief that our intelligence and qualities can be developed with effort, to change the mentality trend of a group of undergraduate students from a private university in Bogotá and measure the impact, if it is the case, it may have on participants? performance in English. This study was conducted with 24 participants separated into a control and an experimental group. The interventions were carried out in 4 sessions of 70 minutes. The research followed a quasi-experimental design for a growth mindset pedagogical intervention. Pre and post growth mindset questionnaires were used, designed based on the general parameters described by one of the forerunners in this field Carol Dweck (1999).
