Sumario:The Chilean curriculum sets the educational basis for what needs to be taught in the different levels including training courses such as Services in tourism taught in Professional and Technical High Schools. The lack of classroom material and a discrepancy between the national curriculum and SLA principles becomes a challenge for teachers to design the appropriate syllabus for these courses. Therefore, in this paper, topics such as syllabus design including tasks sequencing, grading and themes, focused and unfocused tasks and a modular approach are included to design the appropriate TBLT syllabus. Thus, this study intends to provide a proposal of a TBLT syllabus for the Services in Tourism training course taught in Chile. The proposal includes TBLT principles along with tasks examples for its use in contribution to the daily work of the EFL Chilean Teachers.
