| Sumario: | This work investigates the so-called "anecdotes" during the process of language acquisition. The data analysed are amusing or striking occurrences considering at least two subjects whose speech was collected from 2 to 6 years of age under a diary format ( aquisition of Brazilian Portuguese). Those occurrences were produced in various situations in which the child shows signs of following diverse linguistic and/or discursive roules such as: unusual segmentation, disregard of illocutionary force, literal interpratation of formulaic utterances... On these occasions, the linguistic production or comprehension of the child - strangely divergent - gives rise to smiles or laughter, or at least surprises the interlocutor, who thinks the childs speech is funny. However the child is frequently unaware of the effect caused by his/her own speech and the others speech) is then responsible for the phenomena which have been defined as metalinguistic activities during the acquisition of the mother tongue. |
