This instrument is recognized as the first contemporary international catalog of human rights and is unique in that it enshrines a correlative list of rights and duties, unlike the other nineteenth-century documents, as well as the successive ones.El presente trabajo se propone favorecer el entorno de reflexión acerca de la importancia de los deberes de la persona, a partir del análisis de la Declaración Americana de los Derechos y Deberes del Hombre (DADDH). Este instrumento es reconocido como el primer catálogo internacional contemporáneo de derechos humanos y resulta singular ya que consagra un correlativo elenco de derechos y deberes, a diferencia de los demás documentos decimonónicos, así como los sucesivos.Este artigo visa incentivar a reflexão sobre a importância dos deveres do indivíduo, com base em uma análise da Declaração Americana dos Direitos e Deveres do Homem (ADRDM).
