| Sumario: | The purpose of this paper is to encourage reflection on the importance of the duties of the individual, based on the analysis of the American Declaration of the Rights and Duties of Man (ADRDM). This instrument is recognized as the first contemporary international catalog of human rights and is unique in that it enshrines a correlative list of rights and duties, unlike the other nineteenth-century documents, as well as the successive ones. |
