It is undoubtedly represented in different ways, from graphic descriptions of violent acts to symbolic narratives that explore human tensions and conflicts.  From the classic to contemporary literature, French authors have used violence as a tool on social and political realities in all the eras. The objective of this document is to make a brief overview and an analysis of the findings found in different literary works of French origin, to give an account of how violence has been present in its different forms and in all areas of our society.El tema de la representación de la violencia en la literatura francesa es complejo, variado y recurrente a lo largo de los siglos, de tal manera que abarca una amplia gama de géneros, estilos y épocas. Sin duda se representa de diferentes formas, desde descripciones gráficas de actos violentos hasta narraciones simbólicas que exploran las tensiones y conflictos humanos. Desde los clásicos hasta la literatura contemporánea, los autores franceses han utilizado la violencia como una herramienta para explorar la complejidad de la experiencia humana y reflexionar sobre las realidades sociales y políticas en cada época.
