Sumario:The theme of the representation of violence in French literature has been complex, varied and recurring throughout the centuries, in such a way that it covers a wide range of genres, styles and eras. It is undoubtedly represented in different ways, from graphic descriptions of violent acts to symbolic narratives that explore human tensions and conflicts.  From the classic to contemporary literature, French authors have used violence as a tool on social and political realities in all the eras. The objective of this document is to make a brief overview and an analysis of the findings found in different literary works of French origin, to give an account of how violence has been present in its different forms and in all areas of our society.
