Resumo:Sexual harassment and violence in educational institutions are alarming facts, and should not be overlooked. Few Mexican universities have protocols and regulations that address these behaviors, along with measures for preventing, identifying, and seeking punishment for them. The study case for this research was six programs of the University of La Ciénega in the Mexican state of Michoacán de Ocampo (UCEM). Two questionnaires were applied to a representative sample of 178 students, out of a population of 905. The results showed indicators of the type of situation of sexual violence they have experienced, and the cases that have taken place within the University. Finally, a proposal is made for a protocol to address this problem at the university.
