The resulting information was entered into an Access database for quantitative analysis (with subsequent encoding using the SPSS statistics package), and qualitative analysis based on textual analysis. The insistence observed in most exams and textbooks on particular historical content instills in students’ knowledge that is often biased, and mainly based on memorizing facts, concepts, and descriptions.El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la enseñanza de la Historia en educación primaria en España a través del trabajo diario de clase (actividades de los libros de texto) y de los exámenes que el alumnado tuvo que superar. En total se analizaron más de mil preguntas de exámenes, y casi 3 mil actividades de libros de texto de tres editoriales distintas en seis colegios. La información extraída se informatizó en una base de datos en Access para su tratamiento cuantitativo (con una codificación posterior en el paquete estadístico SPSS) y cualitativo, a través de un análisis textual.
