Sumario:The role of familiar small and medium enterprises (SME’s) in a country´s economy suggests the importance of being organizationally sustainable for this kind of business. The objective of the present article is to identify the manifestations of organizational sustainability in the leader’s capability, as the main stakeholder, to generate resources. A study was performed with thirteen restaurateur familiar SME´s of the city of La Jonquera, Cataluña, by the means of a questionnaire applied to 50 stakeholders and by nine profound interviews with leaders of the businesses part of the sample. The results shown, on the ANOVA quantitative analysis test as well on the qualitative analysis of the profound interviews, organizational sustainability is manifested in the stakeholder’s thinking. These findings could be useful for businessmen, confirming the necessity to generate resources at the business in order to achieve organizational sustainability.
