| Sumario: | The chemical characteristics of six silages based on agro-industrial residue and mango waste fruit (Mangifera indica L.) were evaluated, with the addition of two levels of maize stubble, molasses and agricultural urea. A 2 x 6 x 6 factorial scheme was applied, with two replicates per treatment. The factors evaluated were the season (June-August 2009), silage times (0, 7, 14, 21, 42 and 84 d) and six types of silage. Three of the microsils were made with ripe fruit discarded for human consumption, and another three with industrial mango residue (essentially peel and seed). All ensilates contained maize stubble (10 and 20%), with or without molasses and urea. No interaction was significant for the concentration of NDNF and PB in the microsils. However, MO, FAD and lignin were influenced by the additive interaction x day and time x additive x day. It is recommended to use silage with mature mangos of waste, as well as those elaborated with industrial residues of mangos destined to animal feeding, specifically of ruminants. It is recommended to add corn stubble between 10 and 20%, in addition to agricultural urea and sugar cane molasses, with 3 and 2% of inclusion, in fresh base. These ensilates should be evaluated in behavioural tests applied to ruminant animals. |
