Summary:[EN] In this work allows a simple the current economic situation in the construction sector in Colombia, specifically describing the reality of consulting firms engaged in civil engineering. The classification of enterprises by economic activity in this work mainly shows the importance of size of organizations for the development of this study. It seeks to meet the need of Colombian construction consulting firms to achieve optimal integration by managing multiple projects. For this it is necessary to describe a methodology for managing projects internationally recognized standard that has a great reception throughout Colombia; managing to obtain bases for generating management alternatives according to the size of projects to be executed and selecting the necessary processes to good management. The development of this work will be taken for guidance, examples or basis for generating new strategies for studies confirming "good patterns" in a project management determined by their economic size and specifications of the projects executed. The importance of proper project management shows that the chosen methodology is one of many methods used by professionals, but this method is of great help and importance in Colombian consulting firms.
