| Sumario: | [EN] The construction sector is a sector that productively has many nuances and is not industrialized, so many of its processes are unique to each of the projects to be carried out. Optimization and improvement in the construction sector is an issue that has been tried to see from different points of view, some of them are procurement methodologies and the way in which to manage projects. Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) is a delivery method that includes a series of tools for managing and contracting construction projects. The procurement procedures, as well as the tools used in the IPD were previously described individually, but IPD term with this set of tools was first described in 2007 by the AIA (American Institute of Architects). IPD seeks to integrate the participants of an infrastructure project (stakeholders) in the search for unique objectives and in the right time to optimize the project. This seeks to define the project more detailed than in traditional strategies in the phases prior to construction, and then seek to optimize construction processes by reducing construction costs while always ensuring to maintain or improve the expected quality of the final product to meet as efficiently as possible the functionalities sought within its exploitation phase. In this assessment, the IPD and the good practices recommended by the PMI (Project Management Institute) will be analyzed in depth, as well as the tools that can support this methodology (BIM, LEAN, among others), in order to generate a project management model and apply it to the project called "Punta Colorada" in the province of Pinar del Río, Cuba. |
