Its border position, which reveals features of the documentary, the testimonial and the literary, makes it a privileged genre in order to analyze the contact points with the different cultural, philosophical and scientific parameters that have characterized it.[ES] Se trazan las relaciones dialécticas entre los ‘relatos de viaje’, con ejemplos tomados sobre todo de la literatura española, y los distintos paradigmas culturales y científicos a lo largo de la historia. El propósito es enfatizar la importancia de un género literario que ha existido siempre bajo diferentes formas y con márgenes a veces difusos.
