| Sumario: | [EN] This paper aims to demonstrate the dialectical relationship between ‘travelogues’ and different cultural and scientific paradigms throughout history, with the main purpose of emphasizing the importance of a literary genre that has always existed in different forms and sometimes with diffuse margins. Its border position, which reveals features of the documentary, the testimonial and the literary, makes it a privileged genre in order to analyze the contact points with the different cultural, philosophical and scientific parameters that have characterized it. |
