| Sumario: | In today’s society, new technologies like artificial intelligence and lan guage learning apps play an important role in the learning experience, allowing learners to expand their knowledge beyond geographical boundaries and traditional educational contexts. Despite this, language learning remains grounded in the fundamental belief that immersion, living in a country where the target language (L2) is spoken, is one of the most effective means for developing language proficiency (Tanaka & Ellis, 2003; Ryan & Mercer, 2011; Ueno, 2019; Moneypenny & Al drich, 2024). This experience is widely regarded as enhancing one’s linguistic skills, with benefits that extend from linguistic development to increased cultural awareness. |
