Descripción
Sumario:This article describes the relation linking Herbert Marcuse's Unidimensional Man and digital technology. Digitizing reality deals with the possibility of manipulating the snapshots, our perception, even the experience of our very body by the action of the transnational corporations. Through digital image, the graphic interface and the industrialization of consciences, virtual environments and their colonization by capitalism enterprises normalize tacitly the acritic acceptation of the current mode of production. Concepts such as grammaticalization, dromology and hyper-reality provide a sober and compelling view of digital technology making subjects so homogeneous as the late capitalism requires.
