| Sumario: | This article presents, from a diachronic and dialectal perspective, using academic (CREA and CORPES XXI) and extra-academic (Google Books and Ngram Viewer) reference corpora, the analysis of the neological competition between unadapted Anglicisms and their adapted versions in Spanish. Four cases of non-adapted borrowings will be studied which are very frequent in the language of economic texts: boom, broker, cash flow and crack. The implantation of each term, the position of the Real Academia Española and ASALE in relation to unassimilated Anglicisms and dialectal variation will be evaluated, contrasting European and Latino-American uses. |
