| Summary: | Faced with global ecological problems, the media play a key role, as they have the characteristics to inform, educate, transmit, train, review, teaching, etc. So its performance and development address these issues can generate knowledge and awareness in society in a very effective manner. This research is based on a thorough analysis of communication strategies linked to ecological journalism and its influence on the strengthening of environmental awareness to ensure the preservation and defense of the Natural Reserve, La Ceiba, Zapotillo Canton province of Loja. Analysis in which the need for communication-training strategy that enables the sharing of information, ideas, insights and contributions, that encourages people to become aware, assess environmental issues near and their ability to contribute to it became evident. The magazine is an important means of communication, the level of assertiveness is based on the account of the facts and opinions so written and materialized into something physical, it causes the reader to this means an added value, with the option reread the information, give a multiplicity of meanings and evaluate it from several points of view, taking on greater importance in building public opinion and in society at large. It is noteworthy that, the research was supported by a number of methods such as inductive, deductive, descriptive, and statistical techniques such as observation, survey and interview; which helped to draw conclusions, recommendations and an alternative proposal. |
