Descripción
Sumario:An interdisciplinary, practical, and objective  approach was employed to teach students at primary and secondary schools, as well as at home, about the importance of soils, and to encourage the adoption of methods to enable maintenance of the chemical, physical, and biological integrity of the soil components. Following a broad bibliographic review, attractive educational materials were elaborated using puzzles, models, boards, boxes, collections, and trenches dug in the soil to perform practical activities. Data research was undertaken with the project participants, prior to each visit. It was found that regardless of where they lived, the visitors had difficulty in understanding the soil issue and the implications of misuse of this natural resource.
