Descrição
Resumo:[EN] The river basin management is the process of formulation and implementation of an action system that includes the management of basin resources in order to obtain goods and services, without negatively affecting the soil and water resources. The overall goal of this Master Thesis is carrying out a comparative study of several basin management methodologies, defining the strengths and weaknesses of each one, and setting improvement proposals of these methodologies on its application to Mediterranean basins. The new proposed methodology has confirmed the complementarity of the three methodologies analyzed (USLE Mintegui and Sustainability) in the basin, as they agree to assign the same activities in the 64% of the territory of the basin study. The most novel contribution of the new methodology is the inclusion of new criteria in the assignment of activities, which solve, largely, the conflicts in the basin management. The new proposed methodology is a useful tool in making decisions when to establish a management basin area where there is an assignment of different activities between the three methodologies analyzed. With the analysis and comparison of the three methodologies used in this thesis and the incorporation of the new proposal, a line of research that may lead to a management methodology of Mediterranean basins is started.
