Descripción
Sumario:Financing through crowdfunding can be framed as an emerging media practice. It is based on the engagement of individuals and collectives in creation and production process and describes the transformation of former audiences into active participants and agents in the context of cultural production (Schafer, 2011). We can understand it as an open call, mostly through the Internet, for the provision of financial resources either in form of donation or in exchange for some form of reward and/or voting rights. (Belleflamme et. al, 2011). This paper is aimed to understand the importance drive the on the rewards in establishing collaborative models of cultural production mediated by digital platforms, focusing on crowdfunding for audiovisual production.
