Descrição
Resumo:[EN] The aim of this study is the characterization of the traffic functionality on two-lane roads, in daily, night and rainy conditions. This research is realized together with the same road segment and similar traffic conditions. This document is based on daily conditions. Speed and headway are analyzed on a 14 kilometres road segment that belongs to CV-35. Trajectories of 27.876 vehicles (12.026 daytime, 8.855 night-time and 6.995 rain-time) were observed and characterize thanks to 3 videos surveillance cameras provided by CEGESEV. Firstly, there is realized a comparison of several variables for the different ranges of intensity obtained (low, average and high intensity). This multivariable analysis is realized by graphs of dispersion for every direction of traffic where the variables to analyzing are: the average travel speed (ATS), percentage followers, free flow speed, average time gaps of followers and free flow gaps. Secondly, a comparison is realized between the American Manual of Capacity (HCM 2010) and the results obtained previously, and for this the methodology detailed in the Chapter 15 of the HCM has been followed. These results indicate that the percentage followers increases as it increases the intensity; the average travel speed are major in low intensities and minor in average and high intensities; as for the variable of free flow speed, obtain similar results to those of the average travel speed although in this case only contain light vehicles, and the speeds are major; and average time gaps of followers are major in low intensities and in average and high intensities are kept in an approximate value of 1,5 seconds. In addition, after the comparison with the Manual of Capacity there is obtained that with this one the results are more unfavorable and gives place to high mistakes with regard to those who are obtained in case of the analysis. The level of service of the road is type E, in which the vehicles circulate to notably limited speeds and the advancements are practically impossible.
