Descripción
Sumario:[EN] The aim of this study is the characterization of the traffic functionality on two-lane roads, in daily, nightly and rainy conditions. This research is realized together with the same road segment and similar traffic conditions. This document is based on comparison between rainy and daily conditions. Speed and headway are analyzed on a 14 Km road segment that belongs to CV-35. Trajectories of 26.876 vehicles (12.026 day-time, 8.855 night-time and 6.995 rain-time) were observed and characterized thanks to 3 video surveillance cameras provided by CEGESEV. The directional univariable analysis for the same flow rate range in based on the following variables: percentage followers, average travel speed, free flow speed, average travel speed dispersion and average time gap of followers. The results show that on rainy conditions the percentage of followers is lower than on daily conditions. In contrast, average travel speed dispersion and average time gap of followers are bigger than on daily conditions. For average travel speed and free flow speed any trend is observed. In addition, the average travel speed dispersion is highly related with the road safety, the security decreases when dispersion increases.
