Sumario:This article investigates the critical role of User Experience (UX) and usability in digital editions. Through a detailed examination of Digital Dossier: Alexander von Humboldt and Cuba (1800-1830), a web application that gives access to a collection of primary sources, we explore how human-centered methodologies can improve the usability of digital editions. Our findings underscore the importance of placing Human-Centered Design and User Experience at the heart of digital editions, addressing challenges such as usability and multilingualism. The case of Digital Dossier demonstrates how these considerations can shape a successful and sustainable model for future digital projects.
