| Summary: | Data collected in the framework of the ERC project Artsoundscapes, the sound of special places: exploring rock art soundscapes and the sacred (https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/787842). The project focuses on the relationship between archaeoacoustics and rock art. The dataset includes audio files in different formats that are the impulse responses and ambient sounds gathered at the Game Pass I & Game Pass II archaeological sites (Kamberg, South Africa). The excel files include the acoustic data derived from those impulse responses. Fieldwork was conducted in April 2022, by Margarita Díaz-Andreu, Neemias Santos da Rosa, Diego Moreno Iglesias, Ghilraen Laue, and Chih-Jen Hung, and had as guides Richard Duma and Raphael Mnikahti. |
