<p> A novel Ni-catalyzed regiodivergent reductive carboxylation of allyl esters with CO<sub>2</sub> has been developed. This mild, user-friendly, and operationally simple method is characterized by an exquisite selectivity profile that is dictated by the ligand backbone.</p>
