Sumario:Within the framework of the teaching profession, concepts such as employability and professional qualifications are becoming increasingly valuable, given the expectations of quality promoted by European education policies. Along with this, the mastery of languages is already a requirement that cannot be ignored in order to increase the opportunities of access to the labour market. The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of the current situation of foreign language teaching in the field of Vocational Training, with the intention of making recommendations of a programmatic nature for improving the quality of training. To this end, institutional determinations and current legislation are analysed, which serves as a basis for the design of a lesson proposal aimed at the cycle of Basic Vocational Training in Administrative Services and organized around curricular elements and activities. Finally, conclusions that focus on planning the teaching of foreign languages in vocational training are set out.
