Sumario:[EN] Technology advances day by day and imminently also the construction sector is adapting to the changes and innovations that help to gain more efficiency and effectiveness. Today, Building Information Modeling, better known as BIM, is the most innovative methodology that facilitates planning and management in civil engineering and architecture. It does so by considering the entire life cycle of the infrastructure in the construction environment: the previous idea to optimize the assets, the first studies, the design of the intervention projects, the stage of construction, conservation and demolition in a single process integrated in different stages. In addition, it gathers the participants, originating that the work is developed according to the principles of collaborative work, a fundamental stand of BIM implementation. The present work gives an overview of associated techniques, that integrate the management and conservation of existing buildings with buildings of historic interest or those with heritage value. Within the BIM environment, this methodology is called Historic Building Information Modeling (HBIM). The advantage of this methodology is that it has the potential to show participants and users how a building has worked and evolved, describing its changes over time. For the HBIM methodology, a sufficient number of cases, following the same protocol, has not been established yet. Therefore a comparative analysis of the existing achievements by various organizations was carried out. Thanks to this information, a proper methodology was created and associated with the 3D model and the description of the construction phases. This final master's project aims to develop a guide that will define the procedures to be followed for the management of historical-constructive phases. It will be based on the study of cases previously implemented, existing guides applied to new work as a reference and on scientific literature on the subject. This theoretical procedure is applied to the BIM model for the management and restoration of the Church of San Juan del Hospital in which the Institute of Restoration of Heritage of the Polytechnic University of Valencia is currently working. The result of the present work is the compilation of bibliographic information where different HBIM application methodologies are enumerated, as well as successful cases in a real environment, thus having the basis for the creation of a proper criterion. Thereby the model of the nave of the church of San Juan del Hospital de Valencia is improved, describing the changes it has undergone since its creation to date, to finally improve the management of the documentation, thus helping the participants involved in the intervention project.
