Sumario:The proposed strategies and lines of action summarized below reflect the cumulative contributions of the various teams involved in the research project. In general terms, they have been organized into the following srategic lines. Strategic line 1. Actions to increase the value and appreciation of Modern Movement public housing in Seville, such as initiatives to register, document and publicise Modern Movement public housing estates in Seville, and to document the transformations they have undergone over time for the purposes of comparative study and analysis. Strategic line 2. Actions for the spatial and typological adaptation of the neighbourhood, such as improving its relationship with the city and its context by interventions in the vicinity of the old flood wall and the transformation of the neighbourhood’s southern boundary; qualifying existing facilities and public spaces; formalising a point of entry and welcome to the neighbourhood; constructing a community centre for civic gatherings; qualifying existing buildings; and undertaking a process of typological modernisation. Strategic line 3. Actions aimed at modernising homes to make them more habitable, such as improving building envelopes with internal, external (EWIS) or cavity-injected insulation; improving fenestrations with new frames and maintaining or replacing existing ones; improving roofs with external or internal insulation; and improving energy efficiency. Strategic line 4. Social action plan (activities to improve social interaction and actions on associated infrastructures): promoting research into elements related to historical memory; taking steps to document and promote social history; making urban improvements, paving, supplying and installing street furniture and playground equipment in squares, and laying pavements inside the neighbourhood; and studying the possibility of modifying the General Urban Development Plan to allow basic municipal services inside the neighbourhood. Strategic line 5. Interventions in the public space according to environmental and sustainable criteria, such as overcoming the barrier effect of Avenida Rubén Darío and the SE-30 ring road; developing a micro-climate plan for squares, gardens and pavements inside the neighbourhood; and eliminating chaotic car parks and laying compacted albero soil in open spaces.
