Amb l’objectiu de reforçar el creuament entre aquests dos eixos, el projecte proposa que el parc fluvial penetri dins la ciutat, transformant una infraestructura hostil en una avinguda metropolitana verda, accessible i oberta a tothom. La proposta estableix una nova ordenació urbana un cop retirada la infraestructura existent. Noves peces de programa innovador accentuen el punt de trobada entre les avingudes, mentre que el riu es fa present als espais públics intersticials, ocupant l’estructura obsoleta i donant lloc a nous ombracles i aiguamolls que contrasten amb la intensitat de l’avinguda

La propuesta plantea una nueva ordenación urbana una vez retirada la infraestructura existente. Nuevas piezas de programa innovador acentúan el punto de encuentro entre las avenidas, mientras que el río se adueña de los espacios públicos intersticiales, ocupando la estructura obsoleta y generando nuevos umbráculos y humedales que contrastan con la intensidad de la avenida.This work is part of the urban regeneration process of the Besòs and stems from a collective investigation that has highlighted the metropolitan relevance of two currently fragmented axes: the Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, which today acts as a major highway and a shadow barrier over the city, and Avinguda de Joan XXIII, one of the most significant historic streets that follows the river towards the sea. With the aim of strengthening the intersection between these two axes, the project proposes that the fluvial park extend into the city, transforming a hostile infrastructure into a metropolitan avenue that is green, accessible, and open to all. The proposal establishes a new urban layout once the existing infrastructure has been removed.
