Initially, the observer and controller synthesis procedures are formulated individually in the linear matrix inequality (LMI) framework. Then, a separation principle is established where it is proved that the separately designing observer and controller (guaranteeing error stability), when coupled, continue to converge. After having the convergence conditions of observer-based control (OBC), we proceed to show a numerical example to corroborate the theoretical developments in practice.The work of this paper is partially supported by the Spanish project SEAMLESS: Sustainable learning-based Management of Multi-resource Large-scale Systems (ref.
