| Sumario: | [ES]What is a teacher? “It is not who teaches something but who inspires the learner to give his/her best in order to find out the knowledge s/he has inside his soul” (Paulo Coelho). Motivating students has recently become an obsession and one of the main premises on the field of teaching, but why are students so demotivated nowadays? One of the essential pillars on which this dissertation is based is the scarcity of students’ learning motivation. In addition, the low academic performance existing mainly in EFL, currently constitutes a relevant challenge that requires to be addressed in order to contribute, as teachers, to the training of demotivated students to learn and motivated teachers to teach. The time has come for us to learn to listen and analyse those children that demand a change in education, because we have their happiness in our hands. |
