The performance includes helping students to be readers, writers, able to understand, compare, monitor, and evaluate their own productions and those of others. One of the most important commitments that teachers must meet is to use strategies to arouse the interest in reading, enabling them to understand what they read, that lead them to reflection, to promote their critical thinking, but above all to help them to marvel at the world of readingEste trabajo se propone como objetivo presentar una propuesta sobre las diversas estrategias que deben aplicar los maestros en la lectura, surgida del estudio, de la reflexión teórica de la lectura comprensiva, de una mirada sobre la práctica educativa de la realidad social, cultural; en cuyo seno estas capacidades son especialmente requeridas. El desempeño incluye el ayudar a los estudiantes a que sean lectores, escritores, capaces de comprender, comparar, controlar, evaluar sus propias producciones y las de los demás.
