It is conceived as a type of articulation between the teacher and the student; but in this case it has the imprint of the context in which they unfold. From this conception, the experience developed during the last two years is presented in the context of the Initial Education and Nursing Majoring at the Metropolitan University of Ecuador. This essay has allowed the authors to propose a methodology that favors, from the accompanying tutorship, the individual and group work carried out by the teachers linked to the tutorials, from the diversity of the students with whom they work. Some factors are revealed that can become potentialities and needs of this process in educational practice. In addition, the results of a project linked to promoting the exercise of tutoring are exhibited as a way of orientation that allows to stimulate the process of student training in Higher Education based on the declared dimensions.Una de las vías para garantizar la formación integral del profesional es la tutoría de acompañamiento en las dimensiones académica, personal y social en las ofertas académicas de pregrado. Esta se concibe como un tipo de articulación entre el profesor y el estudiante; pero en este caso tiene la impronta del contexto en que se desenvuelven. Desde esta concepción, se presenta la experiencia desarrollada durante los últimos dos años en el contexto de la carrera de Educación Inicial y Enfermería en la Universidad Metropolitana del Ecuador. Este ensayo ha permitido a los autores proponer una metodología que favorece, desde la tutoría de acompañamiento, el trabajo individual y grupal que desarrollan los profesores vinculados a las tutorías, desde la diversidad de los estudiantes con los que trabajan. Se develan algunos factores que pueden convertirse en potencialidades y necesidades de este proceso en la práctica educativa.
