Sumario:This research project was conducted in order to identify psychosocial risk factors to which workers are exposed in all production processes in the company Flores Santa Monica Cia. Ltda, and additionally coping modes or protective factors and resilience to stressful situations which workers of the company posses were determined in order to formulate a program of prevention of risk factors. For the development of the study, a mixed methodology was chosen because it is considered the most appropriate. For the study of psychosocial risk factors, an instrument developed by the Ministry of Social Protection of Colombia was applied. This is a very efficient tool in the evaluation of factors that impact on the worker, modifying job performance and mental health. For the research of ways of coping, the Revised Scale, Ways of Coping Inventory (WOC-R), by Richard Lazarus and Susan Folkman was applied. Dimensions with the highest levels of psychosocial risk were the ones with quantitative demand, accountability requirements in office and environmental demands and physical effort. The ways of coping with the highest prevalence in workers are focused on emotions and among them the positive reappraisal styles. The most vulnerable groups are those that are composed of women, youngsters and persons with less than a year in office. From all the information gathered a program of activities to promote modes and styles of coping with stressful situations was designed to help minimize the impact of risk factors detected.
