| Resumo: | Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are one of the main resources that higher education teachers should use in their teaching and learning process. The purpose of the present research was to know the level of knowledge of the ICT of the higher education teachers in Ecuador. For this, a descriptive study was carried out, applying a questionnaire as an instrument of data collection to 125 teachers from several universities in the city of Quito and who teaches in different modalities of study. The questionnaire was divided into five categories: knowledge, methodological strategies, resource selection, evaluation and ICT training. The results allow to establish acceptable levels in all categories, nevertheless, in the contrasts of the categories, gender and teaching modalities, significant differences were found. |
