description With the growing expansion of entrepreneurship in Brazil and its importance in today's job market, this article focuses on secretarial entrepreneurship and, to this end, the aim was to analyze whether entrepreneurship could be a career possibility for secretarial professionals, taking into account their profile, what they have learned, the skills they have developed during their academic training and the growth of the profession in the country. In order to be able to achieve the purpose of the research, the history of the secretarial professional was surveyed, which is still recent, and although there is information dating back to 500 BC, in Brazil its past is only 100 years old. We also discussed what would be considered a career, its anchors and types, and entrepreneurship, and what the profile of an entrepreneur would be like in Brazil. Subsequently, a quantitative field survey was carried out with professionals in the area and, as a result, it was identified that these workers consider entrepreneurship as a possibility for their careers and, in addition, the main skills and competencies that are necessary to be considered an entrepreneur were known. Regardless of these results, it is worth pointing out that the difficulties faced by professionals in becoming entrepreneurs in the current market became clear during the course of the study, as there is a shortage of studies and data on this subject. It is therefore recommended that there should be more room for the subject to be discussed in secretarial circles, given that the old concepts of a secretary still exist in society and in the workplace.

It is therefore recommended that there should be more room for the subject to be discussed in secretarial circles, given that the old concepts of a secretary still exist in society and in the workplace.Com a crescente expansão do empreendedorismo no Brasil, e a sua importância no mercado de trabalho atual, este artigo tem como tema a carreira do profissional de secretariado e suas possibilidades empreendedoras e, para tanto, estabeleceu-se o objetivo de analisar se o empreendedorismo seria uma possibilidade de carreira para o profissional de secretariado, levando em consideração o seu perfil, seus aprendizados, as habilidades desenvolvidas durante a formação acadêmica e o crescimento da profissão no país. Para ser possível atingir o propósito da pesquisa, levantou-se a história do profissional de secretariado, que ainda é recente, e apesar de se ter informações datadas de 500 a.C., no Brasil, seu passado tem apenas 100 anos. Além disso, discutiu-se sobre o que seria considerado uma carreira, suas âncoras e seus tipos, e o empreendedorismo, e como seria o perfil do empreendedor nas terras brasileiras. Posteriormente, aplicou-se uma pesquisa de campo quantitativa com os profissionais da área e, como resultados, identificou-se que esses trabalhadores consideram o empreendedorismo como uma possibilidade para suas carreiras e, ademais, conheceu-se as principais habilidades e competências que são necessárias para ser considerado um empreendedor. Independentemente desses resultados, vale ressaltar que, ficou evidente durante o desenvolvimento do estudo, as dificuldades dos profissionais em se tornarem empreendedores no mercado atual, pois há uma escassez de estudos e dados sobre esse tema.
