Descripción
Sumario:With the growing expansion of entrepreneurship in Brazil and its importance in today's job market, this article focuses on secretarial entrepreneurship and, to this end, the aim was to analyze whether entrepreneurship could be a career possibility for secretarial professionals, taking into account their profile, what they have learned, the skills they have developed during their academic training and the growth of the profession in the country. In order to be able to achieve the purpose of the research, the history of the secretarial professional was surveyed, which is still recent, and although there is information dating back to 500 BC, in Brazil its past is only 100 years old. We also discussed what would be considered a career, its anchors and types, and entrepreneurship, and what the profile of an entrepreneur would be like in Brazil. Subsequently, a quantitative field survey was carried out with professionals in the area and, as a result, it was identified that these workers consider entrepreneurship as a possibility for their careers and, in addition, the main skills and competencies that are necessary to be considered an entrepreneur were known. Regardless of these results, it is worth pointing out that the difficulties faced by professionals in becoming entrepreneurs in the current market became clear during the course of the study, as there is a shortage of studies and data on this subject. It is therefore recommended that there should be more room for the subject to be discussed in secretarial circles, given that the old concepts of a secretary still exist in society and in the workplace.
