Resumo:This research aims to understand the relationship between the Impostor Phenomenon and coping strategies with the profile of graduate business students. This is a quantitative and descriptive research, with data collection carried out through a questionnaire, which made it possible to obtain a sample of 533 individuals, being 146 teachers and 387 students. Descriptive statistics and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) were adopted. The results show that women suffer more from the imposter phenomenon, seeking “Social Support”. Men use “Control” more. In addition, those with darker skin are the ones who suffer the most from the phenomenon with negative strategies, such as “Isolation”. Religious people adopt positive coping strategies and have less difficulty facing the imposter phenomenon. The coping strategy most used by those who practice physical exercises is “Control”. Those who do not exercise suffer more from the imposter phenomenon and use the “Isolation” strategy to deal with pressures. The contributions of this research are due to the fact that, especially for the academic area, we seek to develop a model that aims to predict strategies to deal with the imposter phenomenon.
