Resumo:Ana Fontes, one of Brazil’s most powerful women according to Forbes, comes from a humble, hard- working background. Born in Alagoas, she had to overcome many challenges still faced by women in the country. A fruit of her efforts and confidence in the potential of female entrepreneurship, the Rede Mulher Empreendedora (RME) [Entrepreneurial Woman Network] was created to support women in their businesses. Since 2019, the Instituto RME (IRME), a nonprofit organization, is focused on the ELA PODE [She Can Do It] program, which is dedicated to empowering women in socioeconomic vulnerability. This teaching case discusses important topics related to Ana Fonte’s story and projects, such as: how to keep developing the network of entrepreneurs, multipliers and facilitators; and how to track the performance of the entrepreneurs who attend the courses in order to help them during and after the process.
